CLEP & NPTE / NYC

Can someone please tell me what are the best subjects to be taken to increase general credits? Are lab courses mandatory? Later once I am done with CLEP (if I get sufficient credits), what should be my next step to be able to sit for NPTE? I wanna apply for NY state license and have completed my B.P.T from India. At present, residing in Pennsylvania (J2 visa)

To answer your question about NY or PA. NY is definitely easier to get licensed in but not as easy to find a job. --Steph
